F.LLI PICCINI – Ponte Vecchio, 21-23 R. Vip lounge reserved for holders of the BIAF VIP Card, set up inside the historic high jewelery Maison Fratelli Piccini, winner of prestigious awards such as the Venice Biennale and the International Diamond Award. In the heart of the Ponte Vecchio, guests will have the rare opportunity to visit the museum floor of the Maison, with unique pieces of jewelery and silverware, belonging to the family collection, the terrace suspended over the Arno with breathtaking views of Florence and the ancient workshop goldsmith, who inspired the New York Times article “The last Jeweler on the Ponte Vecchio” by Guy Trebay. Furthermore, guests will have the opportunity to discover the latest jewelery and high jewelery creations that make it, today more than in the past, an international reference point. A unique and precious location, a reference point in Florence since 1903. From Monday 26 September to Sunday 2 October, from 12 noon to 6 p.m..
GALLERIA MARLETTA
From 20 September to 31 October 2022, Galleria Marletta in Piazza San Felice, 10 r, will be presenting an exhibition dedicated to artist Giovanni Colacicchi.
Almost ten years after the last monographic show, this exhibition aims to focus on the ‘behind the scenes’ by highlighting the creative process.
The exhibition consists of more than 30 pieces measuring from 11 cm to almost 3 m, and includes sketches, initial ideas, and cartoons inserted in a chronological span of about fifty years – that is, works united by the common thread of the preparatory phase linked to often public commissions but also to personal studies.
The exhibition is curated by Alessandro Marletta and Chiara Fiorini, art historian, with the collaboration of Colacicchi’s son Francesco and his wife Alta Macadam.
